HISTORY

Yakutiye (New) Mosque: This mosque is located on Bayburt Cumhuriyet Caddesi, on the area where the old Yakutiye Medresesi is located. It was held between 1913 and 1915 with the help of the General Directorate of Foundations and Bayburt people.

Zahid Efendi Mosque: The mosque in the city center was built by Zahid Efendi during the Ottoman period (1514-1515).

Taşhan (Bedesten): It is located in the city near the Grand Mosque of Taşhan (Bedesten) whose construction date is unknown. After the fire that Tashan had passed, the books disappeared.

TOMB AND CUMBETS

Dede Korkut Tomb: South of Bayburt 39 Km. It is just outside the village of Masat in the distance.

Şehit Osman Türbeleri: It is known that this kind of property belongs to the brother of Osman Gazi and his sister Mengücük Gazi from the commanders of Saltukoğulları.

Ahmed-i Zencani Kümbeti: It is thought that Ahmad-i Zencani is a tomb of Ahmad-i Zencani, who works beside Cumhuriyet Primary School in the city center, but the information about this subject is not clear.

Abdulvahab Gazi Mausoleum: It is located just below the village of Erenli, which is connected to the central district and is located at about 35th km of Bayburt-Gümüşhane road.

Bey Böyrek (Bamsı Beyrek) Tomb: 2 km from Bayburt. West of Erenli village to the east, the building on a hill belongs to Bey Böyrek, one of the most important people in Dede Korkut Stories.

Kutluğ Bey (Sünür) Tomb: It is connected to the central district, on the Bayburt-Köse road and approximately 30 km. The mausoleum in the village of Çayıryolu located at a distance of 30 m. To the east, in the graveyard.

Yanbaksı (Güneşli) Kümbeti: This building, which is called “Yanbaksı Kümbeti” among the people, is located between the provincial center and Demirözü district.

HAMAMLAR

Bent Bath: The bath located on the southeastern edge of Bayburt Castle along the Coruh River was built by Akkoyunlu Hacı Ferahsad Bey in the 16th century.

Paşaoğulları (Kondolotlar) Bath: Information about the date of construction of the bath in Bayburt city center which has been repaired several times is not certain.

CASTLES

Bayburt Castle:

OTHER BUILDINGS

Abdomen of Kop Martyrs: It is located on the 40th km of the Bayburt-Erzurum road, just on the edge of the highway. Bayburt is very rich in terms of the provincial highlands.
